At monthly meetings, guest speakers make presentations on topics related to nature that are of interest to club members. Everyone is encouraged to participate by sharing their experiences and observations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have hosted our meetings via Zoom, but we look forward to greeting members and friends in person once more when health considerations allow us to.

Regularly scheduled field trips offer members the opportunity to learn about and experience habitats around the County and beyond.

  • Pot-Luck Dinner and Members’ Night
    05:45 -20:00
    2023.06.27

Once every year members have the opportunity to “show and tell” about projects they are involved in, places they have been or subjects they are interested in. This meeting this year is on June 27 combined with a potluck at the Town hall in Bloomfield.
We hope to see everyone for an enjoyable evening get-together and potluck dinner since we haven’t been able to do this for several (covid) years!
Please bring a salad or dessert . Veggie and meat lasagnas will be provided as the main course. Also please bring your own plate, cutlery and cup as this helps with the clean up and is the environmentally conscious thing to do.
Would you try to arrive at 5:45 pm so that the dinner can start promptly at 6 o’clock?
After dinner we will have four short presentations by members. (Presenters are asked to bring their Power Point on a “stick”, so we can load them into the computer before the presentations begin.)

    Presentations:
Dale Smith- ‘The Birds of South Texas’
Henri Garand – ‘The Monkeys of Panama’
Pamela Stagg- ‘Ancient DNA in Ten Minutes’
Sheila – ‘Birding in Costa Rica’
